The buildings

Château Bertrand Braneyre is a unique wine estate in Haut-Médoc, situated between prestige appellations such as Saint-Estèphe and Pauillac (Château Mouton Rothschild, Château Lafite Rothschild…).

The buildings and installations on the estate are functional and designed for the vinification and storage of the wine.

Opportunity for construction
A residential (manor) house of some 320 m² floor space can be built at the entrance of the estate. The building permit has been issued, but there are no concrete plans. So this could be an opportunity for the new owner.

The existing studio can be enlarged by converting one of the terraces to a room.

Barrel cellars

The wine matures further in new 225-litre oak casks in the barrel cellars. The two barrel cellars have a sufficient capacity to store the harvest of two years.

The first cellar has a capacity of one hundred 225-litre casks. Three bedrooms with sanitary facilities have been laid out above this cellar.

The second barrel cellar has a capacity of one hundred fifty 225-litre casks. This facility is also used as a reception for visitors and tasting room that can accommodate 20 to 30 guests.

The wine casks

After the grape harvest, the wine ferments in the casks.

This is where the wine is blended on the basis of the various cultivars grown on the estate.

Château Bertrand Braneyre has ten thermoregulated stainless steel tanks for the vinification and blending of the wines.

Studio and Offices

The estate has another separate building which is used as a studio and office space.

The office on the ground floor is spacious and well equipped. A luxurious studio of ca. 40 m² on the first floor is where the owner stays when he is on the estate.

The studio has a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with open fire, a luxurious bathroom and two terraces. This building can be easily refurbished as an apartment and offices.

Status of "negociant" (merchant)

The wine estate has ‘négociant’ (merchant) status, which authorizes the buyer to buy directly from the large, famous châteaux.

Furthermore, other wines can also be bought directly from local vintners and sold under the estate’s own label with handsome capital gains.
